Here's how Glasgow is expected to fit
into the overall CinePaint project:

* CinePaint 0.19, the next release of legacy GTK1-based CinePaint

* Glasgow, the codename for the new FLTK-based CinePaint

* img_img, a new framebuffer core to smooth integration with other tools

The plan is to continue our legacy CinePaint 0.x-series development while
Glasgow is developed into CinePaint version 1.0 sometime in 2005. Also in
2005 our new img_img core will be extended and integrated into Glasgow
making it much easier to interoperate with external applications -- the
first expected to be Blender.

I am currenty looking to add GIMP or Cinepaint to blender and re-write the interface to be a plaugin right to blender. This could then be used to paint skins directly on meshes and also paint bump/displacement maps on the models essentially eliminating the need for Zbrush. Anybody from Cinepaint/Glasgow who knows anything that could help me or anybody interested in this project please contact me at: innovati -at- innovatived.ca Thanks

pretty much waiting for Glasgow to come out. I'd be great if it did. Or if some news on progress did. Either one's pretty cool

yeah, that would be great to have some news. Can you provide a roadmap as announced?
And what about multi os support status? Is there any mac os x version on the way? (with real wacom pressure sensitive tablet support, versus the current mac os X-X11 cinepaint version on which it is not working). Thanks!
