<P>Extraordinary SoftImage artist Christian Deister has created
an awesome new CinePaint mascot!</P>

<P>Christian came up with the concept of our mascot being based
on a spot of white ink for retouching an image. Brilliant idea
and execution. My<BR>
contribution was nagging requests for small changes, naming it
Spot (rather obvious), and making a color-reduced version for
our Windows CinePaint icon (Spot icon #2).</P>
