changed: - Notable Events * Amit drafted the first documentation of the XCF format and may have a quick solution for the XCF 8/16/32-bit incompatibility bug. * Andy got 0.18-1 into fink/unstable and built a new Mac installer: [http://cinepaint.sourceforge.net/work-in-progress/MacInstaller3.png] * Robin (that's me) showed off Tom's new slideshow/flipbook feature at SCALE, the Southern California Linux Expo. Now I can show my slides in CinePaint! Way to go Tom! Had a successful test of Damien's pmk (a new alternative to autoconf) on Fabio's cvstext utility. Thanks Damien and Fabio! Drafted a channel-type plug-in architecture design with input from Stefan. Found that Windows GDK1 (the OS-level hooks for GTK1) is badly flawed. Repairs to that have not gone well. Switching to a new a approach of replacing GDK1 with GDK2. The trick is to bring that in without taking the (large) Pango and GdkPixbuf libraries too. Making good progress. GTK1 on GDK2 compiles but doesn't link yet. * Stefan added unsigned binary fixed point as a native HDR format in the core and zebra for over-white indication. Both are significant new features.
